The lake is currently closed due to the city building a sea wall around the property.

We expect to open back up sometime in the beginning of January 2026

Learn to Sail — No Experience Needed!

In our Adult Learn to Sail class, you’ll master the basics of sailing and gain the skills to confidently sail a small boat on your own. Instruction takes place on the fun and beginner-friendly Sunfish sailboat.

Class Hours:
9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Boats Used:
Sunfish sailboats

Class Size:
Minimum of 4 participants, maximum of 6.
Due to class size minimums, all registrations must be submitted one week prior to the class date.

Fees:

• Club Members & Hollywood Residents: $200.00

• Non-Residents: $250.00
  (Class fee includes boat rental.)

Payment Options:

• Check: Payable to GSC and mailed to:
  Treasurer, 1276 NW 108th Ave, Plantation, FL 33322

• Cash: Can be given to Luis, Elisa, or Val at the lake on Saturdays

Your spot is not confirmed until payment is received. Class enrollment is finalized on a first-come, first-served basis with payment.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis — no reservations or same-day registrations will be accepted.

Cancellations:
A 50% cancellation fee applies to any cancellations made within one week of the class date.

Boat Rental (after completing class):

• Non-Members: $30.00/day

• Members: $10.00/day

Club Membership:
(Not required for class participation.)

• $125.00 for the first year

• $125.00 annual renewal
